The West
End Park Neighborhood Association meets to discuss activities in the neighborhood and plan
projects to enhance our quality of life. We discuss and take action on
issues such as zoning, safety and beautification.
Meeting Minutes
Some of
the association's accomplishments:
- Won 2003
Mayor's Office Community Enhancement Grant for $4,140 to design and

- Worked
for a year to evaluate, recommend changes and approve Metro Planning's
Urban Design Overlay for our neighborhood, which requires new developments
to adhere to strict design standards that reflect the historic character
of West End Park
- Worked
with Metro to remove a hazardous tree and bushes from the historic pillars
at the Acklen Park entrance to the neighborhood
- Generated
positive publicity for the neighborhood in local publications, including
